For young, wanna be movie stars, screenwriters, directors, camerawo/men, and editors, Spoke the Hub’s film camps will expose young film-makers to many different approaches to the art of film-making. Kids can attend for one week, or come all summer long!
Different themes to be tackled each week, include –
Week 1 / July 20-24 Stop Motion & Animation $350
Stop! Hey, what’s that sound? It’s the sound of Stop Motion filmmaking! Join us as we explore the fundamentals of filmmaking using the most inanimate of objects to express the most animated of dramatic emotions.
Week 2 / July 27-31 Visual Poetry & Experimental Film $350
Shall I compare thee to a summers day? Find out as we explore poetics day to day this summer through the in’s and out’s of visual poetry!
Week 3 / August 3-7 Music Videos $350
I’ve… Had… The Time Of My Life… And I Owe It All To Zoooooooooom! Get ready to get down and in the groove of making your own music videos.
Week 4 / August 10-14 Mockumentaries & Documentaries $350
As they expression goes “Life Imitates Art and Art Imitates Life” so why not make everyday life during these wild times an art form as we explore how to craft a documentary around our day to days.
Week 5 / August 17-21 Short Narrative & Dramatic Films $350
Who says family movie night means watching someone else’s movie! Make a short film for the whole family to enjoy and maybe even starring the whole family as we explore how to make short narrative films!
Week 6 / August 24-28 Individual Film Projects TBD $350
With everyday bringing new challenges and the future so uncertain it can be hard to find how to best express oneself, hopefully our choose your adventure in filmmaking can help! Join us and explore all the ways the medium of film can be used to best help you exemplify your voice!
