This class is for the advanced tap student. This technique class will focus on faster and more intricate footwork. The dancer at this level will develop speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute to complex rhythmic combinations. Students will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations
Valerie E. Baloga lives in Brooklyn, New York and has been tap dancing in New York City since 2010. She has studied with tap masters and has had the great pleasure of working and performing with tap dancers from around the world. She was a member of Germaine Salsberg’s company Les Femmes. Before arriving in New York City, she studied tap in Pennsylvania under the direction of Nicole Hockenberry. Valerie has been busy teaching tap at the School at the Mark Morris Dance Center and working in their community outreach programs. She's currently pursuing tap teacher certification from the American Tap Dance Foundation. She is excited to join Spoke the Hub!
