The fundamentals of singing are needed for every experience level, in singing, public speech, and acting. They help us achieve a wider range and better control over our voices. 8 Sessions.
-Breath management: how and where to breathe; how to use the diaphragm and its supporting muscles to avoid hoarseness and achieve a wider range, accurate tune, longer phrases, dynamic control.
-Mouth shaping: how to open our mouths and form the different vowels and consonants while singing low and high notes, and how to use Vowel alternation for different purposes (open vowels for an open sound, etc.).
-Placement: The use of different positions in our throats to widen our range and achieve different sounds and dynamics. We will learn to control the amount of Twang for “projection” and the position of the larynx for sound colors.
