TRIPLE THREAT PERFORMERS’ CAMP
BROADWAY, HERE I COME! (Grades 5-7)

A two week, musical theater intensive aimed at nurturing “triple threat” performers who can sing, dance and act! The two week intensive will end with a shared, virtual performance of song, musical theater choreography and monologues open to STH’s Zoom public.
VOICE: Students will study the fundamentals of vocal technique and breath management, as well as exploring different timbres and sounds to increase their vocal and expressive range. They will also gain practical tools for heightening song interpretations, performance quality, and their ability to tell a story with their voice through song.
DANCE: Students will learn basic tap and jazz dance techniques, study famous dance clips, and fine tune their own physical and musical performance skills. They will also learn a piece of musical theater choreography to be performed at the end of camp in the virtual “recital”.
ACTING: Students will study the fundamentals of monologue presentation as well as exploring character development and voice awareness. They will also be introduced to the creative process through sensory awareness exercises, improvisation, movement and vocal exercises, all culminating in a virtual dramatic presentations at the end of camp.
